If he can block to the outside then why does he step to the inside to strike? That's just tactically dumb. Once he's made contact grab the arm and pull it down and out to expose his side. Everybody knows it's best to turn his corner if you can. Mainland wushu was reconstructed from books because the Chinese Communists murdered all the old Chinese boxers with the rest escaping to Taiwan like chen pan-ling. Once they realized the national pride and commercial value of Wushu they reconstructed it but you can't learn how to do it from pictures.

wow! excellent! It is so similar to Yin's bagua. I can see all the strict criteria in Bagua of tendons stretching in your practice which can rarely be seen in modern bagua practitioners, who usually practice forms only instead of focusing on nouturing internal twisting and explosive power. Where are you about? In Hebei Langfang?Hope I can train with you guys somedays to enhance my bagua level! Is your shifu master Ren, who was on CCTV.?

Johnson but Dr Wu said he didn’t know him, and said he didn’t know him . He then pulled out the second book it was his teachers Li Xiang Fei we thumbed through the book of posture’s and talked of the science behind them . Then he pulled out the last book which were his notes when he learned from li xiang Fei . Went right to the posture’s and explained to that structural science. So my training was tried and true. The next time I saw his book was when I started learning my first palm structure of single palm the head of the dragon. We did all the movements very extremely slow so it was concise . Well he died in 2000 Tyrone Jackson my teachers teacher had a stroke just before Dr Wu died . Dr Wu passed down true transmission form to Tyrone before he died then Tyrone passed down to me. So when I went to Dr Wu’s funeral I was revoked to go to the burial by Steve Maddifari for some reason I found out later at the burial Sandy Wu gave the rights to Steve feeling that he knew the most of the system . I always thought he did and deserved it. But while at the funeral the eldest brother asked sandy where do we go from here? She said keep on teaching because that’s what he would want . I still teach Han Mu Xia’s system of guang hua Shan Ba gua Zhang today! This is the first time I’ve ever written anything about Dr Wu showing my patron to his teachings thank you!

I met Dr Wu Ming Ahn In 1982 through my teacher Larry Taylor He later passed me on to his teacher Tyrone Jackson we all traveled to Dr Wu’s to work out as a group in those days mostly studying external systems of family styles it was in 1987 when I started with Dr Wu he called Tyrone and asked for me. When I got there .He then asked what would you like to learn from me . I replied Ba gua zhang he said no ! Then Dr Wu said I was thinking more on the lines of mantis . He then asked why? Do you want to learn ba gua zhang? I said it was fastinating! He then told me I was to young it was complicated I wouldn’t understand. I then said I would be honored in what ever you want to teach me! He then told me to go out side , so I did . He came out of his house an hr or two later put me in a posture and went back in . We started around 10 am didn’t see him till dusk and I was still standing. Through the week’s of standing I learned of hand posture’s I’ve never seen before which resembled southern mantis I thought to myself wow! I think he’s teaching me southern mantis that was what I was learning . After learning the standard posture’s for about three months he then taught me toe in and toe out first holding then moving in a tiny circle training . That’s when I realized he was teaching me Ba gua zhang. I did Kou bu bai bu for about 6 to 12 months only then something changed on the last lesson he came out at dusk as usual but this time instead of shooing us off in a polite way he told me to sit down on the bench next to him. He then pulled out three books and said to me you will learn history knowledge of Ba gua zhang He then opened the first book went straight to the lineage chart picked out his teachers teachers names then said that the author of that book said that that was his linage his name was JerryAlan

The way I was taught this form . Is exactly how I was taught the way she shows it . Except When changing palms with flipping them they were more of a roll . I used to call it rolling palms transition so I would remember it better. But by seeing this form from someone other than my martial family I have been practicing it right all these years. I found out that the inheritance person didn’t learn all the the eight of the eight but he does have the rights and Dr Wu’ s notes .

It is said that the instruction given was to turn the hips, that is standard for most styles of Karate, doing yang style you turn the waist that is where the power flows from as transmitted from the legs through the back to the waist. Slanted flying can easily pick a person off the ground when done properly. Remember the Hara or center. Intiate the movement from the base of the spine with the intent

wow! interesting baguazhang method there. the footwork is slightly different in that the heel touches the floor first when stepping forward instead of the usual parallel footing to the ground. this is a treasure. thanks for sharing.
